With 6+ years of facepainting and party entertainment experience, I can guarantee that the quality of my work is outstanding, and well worth the prices listed above.
For party numbers exceeding 15 children I recommend a 2 hour party booking to ensure enough time for all the activities, although 2 hour entertainment also works wonderfully for smaller groups as well; as it allows for more activities and interaction with the children. It just depends how much time you want them off your hands! :)
Additional travel fees apply to parties at a distance beyond 15km from Hornsby (home base). The additional charge is: $1 per kilometre > 15km from Hornsby. This helps cover the costs of travel, tolls, and travel time.
For example, for a party 25km away from Hornsby, the fee would be:
25km - 15km = $10
Once we’ve confirmed a date and time for the party, I’ll send through an invoice with a $100 booking deposit included, to secure the date and time for all involved.
To help you decide on the character’s arrival time, I usually suggest one of two options:
1) Arriving 30 mins after the party's start time, to allow for stragglers, so that all the children are there when the special character makes their grand entrance, leaving facepainting for the end of the party when all the children are exhausted from all the games! OR
2) Arriving at the party's start time, and getting straight to work on facepainting (starting with the birthday child) whilst the guests arrive, making the most of the staggered arrival times to minimise any cues for facepainting.
Either of these two options work well; it just depends on your preference.
